I mean...it's cookout ...food will be good but don't expect too much haha. I've never had an issue with this location. The most fun part is ordering any type of milkshake you want. This time we got the chocolate cherry cheesecake and my husband loved it. They have really good white cheddar tots (little mozeralla rounds). The options are endless so you can probably feed any picky eaters and a family easily. The staff is friendly but be patient especially if you visit at night as the vibe can get a little crazy.

This cookout was a great spot for a quick stop to eat and get back on the road! However, the milkshake was too thick, like my girlfriend! It took me almost 45 minutes to finish it, as well as the Cajun fries having too much seasoning. 8.5/10 burgers were top notch and were better than five guys, the chef needs a sweet passionate kiss.
I have to give this particular Cook-Out its due. They were ON POINT for a late night meal after I arrived back into CLT well after most restaurants in the Charlotte area had closed. Usually, at this point, I'm just happy to get anything, even if I have to wait a while and it isn't quite right like it would be at normal hours... but in this case, the late squad at this location got it right. My Cook-Out tray was perfect. Burger nice and juicy, generously topped Cook-Out style. Onion rings crispy and hot. Corn Dog also just the right amount of crisp and hot. And the milkshake... man... you know that is always going to be good. Have to be honest, coming from In-N-Out territory, use east coasters got the better deal with Cook-Out. The burger itself might be better at In-N-Out, but man, the menu! All the goodies! It's hard to not love a good Cook-Out try at the end of the day. Anyway, shout out and love to the midnight shift at this Sugar Creek location. Very well done!
Once we landed, we were looking for a bite to eat. A nice guy at circle K referred us here. He mentioned it's one of the few places in the area, opened late at night, after ten. I scarfed down their chicken sandwich, delightfully gorged on the hush puppies, Cajun fries and pulled pork. Everything was fresh and hot. The staff was polite and provided several suggestions, while answering our various questions. We looked forward to returning before our departure and try the freshly made shakes.
